How Our booking process works

Planning your wedding is exciting — and including your dog should feel just as easy and stress-free.

At The Eventful Pup, I guide you through every step, ensuring your dog is safely cared for, calmly handled, and seamlessly included on your special day.

Start by filling out the contact form or getting in touch to check availability for your wedding date.

We’ll have a relaxed, no-obligation chat to discuss:

• Your wedding plans and venue

• Your dog’s personality and needs

• How you’d like your dog to be involved (e.g. ring bearer, photos, guest interaction)

This is all about understanding your vision and making sure everything is tailored to you.

Following our consultation, you’ll receive a bespoke quote based on your requirements.

If you’re happy to proceed:

• A booking agreement will be sent

• This outlines services, insurance, and responsibilities

• Your wedding date is only fully secured once your signed booking agreement and 25% non-refundable deposit have both been received

• You’ll receive a personalised booking confirmation summarising your agreed services and provisional timeline, which we’ll review and refine during our meet & greet and final wedding preparations.

• To officially reserve your wedding date, a non-refundable 25% deposit is required.

• Once received, your date is fully secured — and you can relax knowing everything is in place.

• The remaining balance isn’t due until 4 weeks before your wedding day, and we’ll send you a friendly reminder when the time comes. 🐾

Ahead of your wedding, we’ll arrange a meet and greet at a mutually convenient time and location. Where possible, this may also include a visit to your venue.

This is a key part of the process, where:

• I meet your dog in a familiar environment

• Build trust and rapport

• Understand their routine, temperament, and any special requirements

• We have the opportunity to discuss your dog’s involvement in full

• Try on any outfits you'd like to borrow from The Eventful Pup collection, which I'll bring along.

• See the Dog POV camera and how it works, if you've chosen this service.

This ensures your dog feels comfortable and confident on the day

As your wedding approaches, we’ll confirm all final details, including:

• Collection and return arrangements

• The wedding-day schedule and key contacts

• Feeding, medication and care instructions

• Veterinary and emergency contact details

• Any outfit, accessory or ring-bearer arrangements

• Venue rules and relevant supplier details

• A suitable wet-weather or contingency plan

• Confirmation of photography and social-media consent, where applicable

Final balances are due 28 days before your wedding.

Your final details document will be sent to you 1-2 weeks prior to your wedding date

From morning preparations through to the celebration, your dog will be cared for with complete attention and professionalism.

This includes (package dependant):

• Safe transport to and from the venue, or meet at venue

• Walks, comfort breaks, and hydration

• Gentle grooming, cleaning paws and dressing your dog in their chosen wedding attire, ready for their special moment.

• Calm handling during the ceremony and photographs

• Assisting your photographer by helping position your dog, capture their attention and encourage those picture-perfect moments.

• Support during key moments and guest interaction

Your dog will be exactly where they need to be — without any stress for you or your guests.

At the end of the day, your dog will be:

• Safely returned to the agreed person or location,

  or

• cared for overnight where this is included in the chosen package and agreed in advance.

• Following your wedding, I'll carefully select and prepare any photographs and edit your Dog POV footage (where included in your package), aiming to deliver your special memories within a few days via a private Google Drive link.

Everything is handled seamlessly, so you can fully enjoy your wedding without worry.
