How Our booking process works

Planning your wedding is exciting — and including your dog should feel just as easy and stress-free.

At The Eventful Pup, I guide you through every step, ensuring your dog is safely cared for, calmly handled, and seamlessly included on your special day.

Start by filling out the contact form or getting in touch to check availability for your wedding date.

We’ll have a relaxed, no-obligation chat to discuss:

• Your wedding plans and venue

• Your dog’s personality and needs

• How you’d like your dog to be involved (e.g. ring bearer, photos, guest interaction)

This is all about understanding your vision and making sure everything is tailored to you.

Following our consultation, you’ll receive a bespoke quote based on your requirements.

If you’re happy to proceed:

• A booking agreement will be sent

• This outlines services, insurance, and responsibilities

• Your wedding date is only fully secured once your signed booking agreement and 25% non-refundable deposit have both been received

To officially reserve your wedding date, a non-refundable 25% deposit is required.

Once received, your date is fully secured — and you can relax knowing everything is in place.

Ahead of your wedding, we’ll arrange a meet and greet at a mutually convenient time. Where possible, this may also include a visit to your venue.

This is a key part of the process, where:

• I meet your dog in a familiar environment

• Build trust and rapport

• Understand their routine, temperament, and any special requirements

• We have the opportunity to discuss your dog’s involvement in full

This ensures your dog feels comfortable and confident on the day

As your wedding approaches, we’ll confirm all final details, including:

• Collection and return arrangements

• The wedding-day schedule and key contacts

• Feeding, medication and care instructions

• Veterinary and emergency contact details

• Any outfit, accessory or ring-bearer arrangements

• Venue rules and relevant supplier details

• A suitable wet-weather or contingency plan

• Confirmation of photography and social-media consent, where applicable

Final balances are due 28 days before your wedding.

Your final details document will be sent to you 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding date

From morning preparations through to the celebration, your dog will be cared for with complete attention and professionalism.

This includes (package dependant):

• Safe transport to and from the venue, or meet at venue

• Walks, comfort breaks, and hydration

• Calm handling during the ceremony and photographs

• Support during key moments and guest interaction

Your dog will be exactly where they need to be — without any stress for you or your guests.

At the end of the day, your dog will be:

• Safely returned to the agreed person or location,

  or

• cared for overnight where this is included in the chosen package and agreed in advance.

Everything is handled seamlessly, so you can fully enjoy your wedding without worry.
