Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about including your dog in your wedding day.
-
Think of me as your dog’s plus one for the day.
I take care of everything - transport to and from the venue, exercise, toilet breaks, refreshments, outfit changes, photo support, ceremony assistance and calm, loving care throughout.
My role is to make sure your dog is happy, comfortable and safe - so you can fully enjoy your wedding day without worrying.
-
Every dog is different, but generally I recommend around 2–3 hours of active involvement in the ceremony, drinks reception and photos.
Weddings can be exciting and stimulating for dogs, so I always prioritise their wellbeing and build in rest breaks as needed.
If you choose a longer package or overnight care, I’ll ensure they have quiet time and proper downtime too.
-
Yes — absolutely.
I include a pre-wedding consultation so I can get to know your dog’s personality, routine and any specific needs. This helps ensure they feel comfortable with me on the day and everything runs smoothly.
-
I’m based in Kent and cover weddings across Kent and Sussex.
If you’re slightly outside this area, feel free to ask — I’m always happy to discuss options.
-
Your dog will travel safely and comfortably in a clean, secure vehicle using appropriate harnesses or crates depending on their size and needs.
Their safety is always my top priority.
-
Yes — I hold full Public Liability Insurance for your peace of mind. A copy of my insurance can be provided upon booking.
-
Your date is secured once a deposit has been received and terms have been agreed.
As I only take on a limited number of weddings, I recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
-
A 25% deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day. Full details are provided during your consultation.
-
Weddings evolve — and that’s completely normal.
If timings or requirements shift, just let me know as early as possible and I’ll always do my best to accommodate reasonable changes.
-
Yes — overnight care is available either the night before or the night of your wedding (depending on your chosen package).
This can take place in your home, a family member’s home, or suitable wedding accommodation.
-
Your dog’s wellbeing will always come first.
Weddings can be busy and exciting, so I carefully monitor body language and stress signals throughout. If your dog needs a break, quiet time or early rest, I’ll make that call calmly and professionally.
My goal is for them to enjoy the experience — not endure it.
-
Yes — for example, if you’re getting married in a church and then travelling to a reception venue, I’ll handle all the logistics to make it seamless.
We’ll discuss timings and travel during your consultation to ensure everything feels relaxed and manageable for your dog.
-
Of course!
Whether your dog is wearing a bow tie, floral collar or special outfit, I’ll help get them ready and photo-perfect.
If they have a role — such as walking down the aisle or being involved in photos — I’ll support and guide them so everything feels calm and controlled.
-
I specialise in small to medium-sized breeds to ensure a calm, safe and comfortable experience for every dog in my care.
If you’re unsure whether your dog would be suitable, just get in touch and we can chat it through.
-
Many venues are dog-friendly, but each has its own rules.
I recommend checking with your venue first, and I’m happy to liaise with them directly regarding timings, access and any requirements.
-
Once their role in the ceremony and photos is complete, I’ll either:
• Safely transport them home
• Settle them into overnight care
• Or care for them in agreed quiet accommodation
(depending on package chosen)
You won’t need to worry about anything — I’ll keep you updated.
-
Popular wedding dates (especially spring and summer Saturdays) can book up quickly.
If you know you’d love your dog to be part of your day, I recommend enquiring as soon as you’ve secured your venue.
